Omar here pictured with one of his favorite mares Mara. Omar is truly the herd boss, he has spent the last 20 years on this farm and is the original horse. He protects his mares and watches over them. Omar is respectful of all his mares and when there is conflict between his mares he puts himself between the aggressors. Omar has earned his place on the farm and is a valuable asset when it comes to keeping the peace. Although he has been retired over the past few years, he still enjoys the occasional ride and is still sound and fit.
We regretfully losts Omar this summer he is much missed by his herd and human family. His pasture mate for many years Nydia misses him the most...

Shammy will always have a soft spot in our hearts. When he came to Tim he was in need of a buddy. In his younger days he had been a Four H Show Horse, but he had not been worked with in a while. He was the companion to a much older retired horse. The first few days he was on the farm he was quite a challenge. Tim was up to the challenge. In just a few months with patience and persistence Shammy turned into quite the trail horse. He just needed to learn to trust and then it was a matter relearning the skills he already knew. This old boy can pick a trail through the brush like nobody's business. Tim often says that " they have a special bond, a connection". Shammy is so in tuned to Tim that he can virtually pick the path that Tim would have taken. Shammy is still fit enough to be ridden hard and that is an accomplishment for his 26 years of age.
